Headstage Configuration

The Headstage palette group configures the acquisition signal chain: filter cutoffs, mode, and baseline behavior.

important

All blocks (except H-bit get/set) are Setup-only and must run before ACQ start.

ValueDescription
HWReal hardware — acquires from the connected headstage
SIMSimulation — generates synthetic data without hardware

Use SIM to test your script logic before connecting a headstage.

Filter cutoffs

BlockFilterTypical value
lower bandwidthAnalog high-pass300 Hz (spikes) / 1 Hz (LFP)
upper bandwidthAnalog low-pass7500 Hz (spikes) / 300 Hz (LFP)
DSP cutoffDigital high-pass250 Hz; set 0.1 Hz to disable

Filter blocks only take effect when headstage setup runs after them.

H-bit

Controls periodic baseline reset of channel amplifiers — corrects slow DC drift.

ParameterMeaning
trueEnable baseline reset
falseDisable (use for continuous DC tracking)
