Raster
The Raster panel displays a spike raster plot. Each row is one acquisition channel (0 to N−1, where N is the device channel count). The horizontal axis is time. Each tick mark is a detected spike. Provides a fast overview of multi-channel spiking activity.
Controls
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Window | Time axis duration: 1–10 seconds |
| Refresh | Update interval: 100–1000 ms |
| Band-pass | Enable/disable signal band-pass before detection |
| f_low Hz | High-pass cutoff (default: 300 Hz) |
| f_high Hz | Low-pass cutoff (default: 3000 Hz) |
| k×RMS | Threshold multiplier on RMS (default: 5.0) |
| |y| threshold | Detect by absolute amplitude instead of k×RMS |
| Biphasic | Biphasic spike detection |
| Fusion | OR: accept either biphasic component / AND: require both |
| d_min ms | Refractory period (default: 0.75 ms) |
| RMS win ms | Window for σ estimation (default: 1000 ms) |
Interactions
- Hover on the canvas — tooltip shows channel number and time of the nearest spike
- Click on a tick — opens a waveform modal with a ±1 ms snippet around that event
note
The Raster panel uses its own independent software-side spike detection, separate from the firmware-side SPIKE ON command / Studio block. Both can run simultaneously.
