ZCHECK
Syntax
ZCHECK <ch>
Description
Measures the impedance of one electrode channel at 1 kHz. Acquisition must be stopped. While the measurement runs, the board state is busy.
The result is sent to the PC that sent the command. A value above roughly 1000 kΩ usually means a disconnected or broken electrode.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
<ch> | integer | 0 – channels − 1 | Channel to measure. |
Response
On success:
ZCHECK <ch> <value> kOhm
If the measurement itself fails:
ZCHECK <ch> ERR <code>
Errors
| Reply | Condition |
|---|---|
ERR ZCHECK running | Acquisition is running. Send STOP first. |
ERR ZCHECK busy | Another operation is in progress. |
ERR ZCHECK bad_arg | Missing argument or channel out of range. |
The latest results are also shown on page 2 of the device screen.
Example

from hmcls_udp import Board
board = Board("192.168.1.11")
board.request("STOP")
for line in board.query("ZCHECK 3", timeout=2.0):
print(line) # ZCHECK 3 142.37 kOhm
